|Motor Model||Baldor CM4109T|
Here is an Sonic Air Systems Sonic 200 dual centrifugal blower with a collossal 40HP motor. This is in fairly dirty cosmetic condition & needs some repair, but the motor is extremely powerful & functioning great. As pictured, it is missing 2 belts, one tensioning arm, & one of the blower heads has some damage causing it to turn roughly. The price reflects this.
This is a 2001 unit & uses Sonic’s older 12-groove drive system. Sonic no longer supplies parts for this particular generation, so in order to repair it it with new parts it will need to be outfitted for the current 16-groove drive system. The cost was quoted to us at around $8,000 for new blower heads, pulleys, filters, gauges & the 12-to-16-groove upgrade kit. It would also be possible to find older 12-groove parts, but these are harder to come by. In its current state,
The motor is tested & fires up perfectly, so with some work this will be ready to go & will be pulling an extreme amount of air. One of the blowers is smooth and running perfectly so it could also just be used with one of the blower heads so long as a belt and tensioner is added.
